The Ohio Derby attracts Catching Freedom and a chance to redeem himself after a couple tough races.

With three wins from seven starts, the Brad Cox trainee by Constitution will make a huge attempt to bounce back after winning the $1,000,000 Louisiana derby down at the Fair Grounds back in March. Jockey Luiz Saez gets the call for this race on Catching Freedom but this doesn't mean that you don't have some other choices to consider for this race.

Copper Tax is a seven time winner from ten starts and seem to be in really good form.

Gould's Gold gets the combination of trainer Kenneth McPeek and jockey Brian Hernandez jr for a chance at this race of $500,000.

Uncle Heavy gained some popularity after winning the Withers at Aqueduct but since then wasn't as impressive as in the Withers.

Saffie Joseph jr will team up with Rocco Bowen with a one time winner from seven starts, Who's the King. Joseph has built a reputation of not being afraid to put horses where they may been written off.

It's going to be a field of ten unless scratches occur at Thistledown and this race looks pretty attractive.

It's the first for Rocco Bowen in the Ohio Derby and he hopes to win his first race for trainer Saffie Joseph. He will have some obstacles to overcome as Who's the King isn't proven amongst these type horses and they are some very tough ones here to defeat.

Frizzante seem to be getting into form after a very well run in an optional claimer at Parx. This one looks like fun and don't be surprise if he runs huge.

None of the the named jockeys have won this race before and each one will be hoping to ink their name into the history of the race. The race goes off at 6:30pm Eastern time but don't forget to check out the undercards which which looks quite interesting.
